For Darcie and Ryan planning their wedding in 2020 was a journey that took several turns.
The best man put it the best by quoting Mike Tyson:
“2020 wedding planning can be summed up in a single quote… Everyone has a plan until you’re punched in the face.”
Darcie and Ryan rolled with the punches. October 18th wasn’t their original wedding date, but it was magnificent all the same. They chose the town of Canmore as their backdrop. The fresh snow and crisp air was invigorating.
The Canmore Ranch looked pristine for their nuptial ceremony, followed by appetizers in the open air barbecue gazebo.
We headed to Banff park and Lake Minnewanka for the formal pictures. If you have a large wedding party, this was the group to have. They were fun, supportive and just the right level of rowdy. It was a blast shooting with this group in one of Canada’s most epic locations.
Filming at the Cornerstone Theatre in Canmore never disappoints. Darcy and Ryan’s reception was no exception. We love it when people hand us amazing speeches. The hardship is cutting the great audio down to fit in the film. A good problem.
All around, this was a wedding for the books. We loved filming this love story. Darcie and Ryan are so blessed to have a group of family and friends that care so much about them. They truly wanted to celebrate their journey into the rest of their lives. It speaks volumes about this couples character.
It was our pleasure to create this film for you.
