We’ve never spent the 4th of July in the US, but the next best thing is spending it with a group of visiting Americans and filming their wedding!
Linh and Kaonou brought friends and family up to Alberta from let’s see….. New York, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, and I’m sure I missed some in-between.
When you come to get married in the Canadian Rockies, you wanna see some mountains! The Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge is l literally nestled in a valley of mountains. We had perhaps the wettest, cloudiest July on record. I was worried the majestic giants would be a no show, but late in the afternoon the fog and rain lifted, just enough to let us film some great shots, and prove that we were surrounded by an epic landscape.
We had a blast filming this wedding. Kaonou is a designer and her elegant, refined dress, was her own creation. Take note of the traditional embroidery design she hand stitched! This crazy, wonderful group of people brought together Vietnamese and Hmong roots, with their American culture, marrying it all together in the Canadian rockies.
